The Academic Innovation Fund supports initiatives that advance York’s strategic priorities in relation to teaching, learning and the student experience.
Phase 3 Funding
We are pleased to announce that 21 new Category I projects, 6 ongoing Category I projects, 14 Category II projects, 10 Category III projects, and 25 Category IV projects were awarded in 2020-2021 Academic Innovation Fund (AIF).
Category I funding supports academic innovation projects, Category II funding supports curricular innovation projects, Category III funding supports Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) projects, and Category IV funding supports Open Access Teaching and Learning projects.

The Academic Innovation Fund (AIF) was created in 2010 to provide an investment in innovation and change at York. The AIF aims to develop models and structures that can be applied across the University for the benefit of all York students.
